On May 2nd Penny Willis went to her Heavenly home to be with Jesus. Penny was the wife to Thompson Willis, mother to David, Josh and Grace, and grandmother of two. She and Tom founded The Berry Patch in 1975, 48 years ago. Penny was well known among so many of our customers and within our community for her contagious smile and friendly demeanor. She made newcomers feel as if she had been expecting them for some time, and welcomed yearly visitors as if they are part of her own family. Those who knew her well frequently commented on her kind nature, her hard work ethic, and her love for Jesus.
While being a devoted wife and wonderful mother, Penny worked tirelessly to give the farm a charm that cannot be found elsewhere. Her dedication and commitment to The Berry Patch was unmatched. She was an inspiration and leaves behind a legacy that we hope to continue sharing with others for many years to come.
